The Opportunity: Assistant Management Accountant

Salary: £24,000 – £28,000

Vuba are looking for an assistant management accountant.

You’re a person who want to get hands on, implement better ways of working and to grow within your role while knowing you make a real difference.

In this role you will work closely with the finance manager, assisting with the collating, analysing and presenting of information for month end.  This is a vital role in a growing business as the management team look for a key player who can report back key financial information to the MD and finance manager enabling better decision making in the business.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Handling of daily financial duties including bank reconciliations, purchase ledger and sales ledger
  • Assisting with collating, analysing and presenting information for month end
  • Working closely with the finance manager on projects
  • Assisting in the analysis of key information to report back to the management team
  • Processing and payment of supplier invoices
  • Liaising with external accounts and customers on credit control when needed
  • Inputting data on the system daily, including completing new supplier forms
  • Answering query emails from suppliers and customers
  • Provide accurate financial information to key stakeholders
  • Assisting with the handling of utilities and general office administrative tasks
  • Identifying cost saving measures and renewals for the company.

To thrive in this team you will:

  • Be commercially driven and aware
  • Be dynamic, forward-thinking, and interested in the broader business
  • Have some experience in a transactional finance role
  • Excellent Microsoft office knowledge, especially the use of Excel
  • Knowledge and experience working on Xero
  • Have good attention to detail and confidence to present details to management team
  • Have excellent time management skills, as well as confidence and working well within a team
  • Ability to manage own workload and use initiative
