Finance and Administration Assistant required for growing EK Group company

Smart Temporary Solutions are excited to be recruiting a Finance & Administration Assistant to join their growing team with the support of their sister company EK Financial Recruitment. 

Smart Temporary Solutions (Smart Temps) joined the well-established local Emmerson Kitney Group in 2020. East Yorkshire based Emmerson Kitney Group has been established over 11 years and has wealth of experience, combined with an in-depth knowledge of the local market, this has led to Emmerson Kitney becoming the recruitment partner of choice for many businesses in the Humber region.

Following the success of permanent appointments throughout the Humber Region with various privately owned and corporate businesses, Managing Director David Kitney added another business to the Group. 

Smart Temps is the newest addition to the group providing temporary and temporary to permanent workers to engineering, manufacturing and food manufacturing companies throughout the Humber region. Since formation in 2020, Smart Temps has seen significant growth and now requires a Finance & Administration Assistant to join the growing team.

What kind of person would thrive in a business such as Smart Temps?

Smart Temps are looking for a confident individual with bags of inititative to join the Emmerson Kitney Group as the Finance & Administration Assistant. You will be a quick learner, have an eye for detail and be confident with your communication skills both verbal and written. You will work extremely closely with the team at Smart Temporary Solutions and the wider group including the Assistant Accountant. 

The ideal Finance & Administration Assistant will be willing to learn new processes and procedures, they will take initiative and be keen to get involved in a variety of tasks for both Smart Temps and the EK Group. This role is intended for someone with great attention to detail and communication skills and an individual wants to build a financial career within a growing sector. With the rapid growth plans over the next couple of years, this is a new opportunity for the group.

The person

You will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office especially use of Excel and ideally have experience of using accounting systems such as QuickBooks or Xero. You will work closely with both the Smart Temps and EK Group teams and become a pivotal part of the ever-growing team and company.

  • Management and processing of weekly payroll and timesheets
  • Accurate recording and reporting of financial information and data using MS Excel  
  • Liaising with workers and clients regarding working hours, timesheets, sickness, and holidays 
  • Sales leger, purchase ledger and credit control management using QuickBooks
  • Answering the telephone, taking messages accurately and passing onto the right person
  • Writing, checking, and posting of various social media adverts, articles, and blogs
  • Recording accurate worker information, files and documentation of the company CRM system 
  • General Administrative and office management duties
