As a result of growth within the business, an exciting opportunity has arisen within RES Group for a Finance Manager to take up a leading role within the finance team. This is a highly important role within the business, which involves managing and advising a small team and working alongside the Directors and Owner of the business to carry on the development and continued success of the business.

The Role

As the Finance Manager, you will be a key part of the finance team and report directly to the Directors and Owner of the business. You will be a pivotal part within the finance team and report directly to the directors and owner of the business.

Situated in RES Group head office based on Priory Park in Hessle your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Produce monthly management accounts and reporting packs and present findings to the senior management team, providing analysis and commentary identifying and explaining what has occurred.
  • Work with the Directors to produce the budgets and forecasting
  • Prepare and report on accurate and sound statutory and management accounts including posting journals, performing accruals and prepayments, reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed.
  • Calculation, presentation and payment of VAT
  • Oversee a small accounts team, ensuring they produce accurate invoices to deal with the high volume of accounts and services provided
  • Work closely with the external accountants and auditors
  • Oversee weekly payroll, including all bacs payroll payments and HMRC Gateway confirmations
  • Liaising with colleagues across both finance and non-finance departments to ensure accurate and insightful analysis is provided

The Person

To be the successful Finance Manager, you will ideally be a ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified Accountant or be qualified by experience and have worked at a similar level of role within finance.

The role would be an excellent opportunity for an individual from a manufacturing or services background, who is looking to take the next step in their career working closely with the senior management team with the potential for further progression.

The Package

  • £40,000 – £50,000 salary per annum
  • 21 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas Eve
  • Matched 5% pension
