EK Financial Recruitment are currently working with a company situated in Hull who are seeking a Payroll Administrator to join them as soon as possible. Our client is looking for an outgoing, determined individual who is looking to join a fast paced team as the Payroll Administrator. The ideal candidate will have some relevant experience working in a finance team, dealing with both payroll and administration.

As the Payroll Administrator, you will be a key part of the team and work closely with the accountant. You will be involved in day-to-day admin duties for the business, robust back office and payroll activity and must be ready for a challenge.

Situated in central Hull, your key responsibilities will be:

• Processing the weekly payroll
• Collating, matching and checking the information from timesheets and inputting into spreadsheets
• Processing holidays, sick pay and expenses
• Calculating overtime, shift payments and pay increases
• Liaising with internal and external sources to ensure working hours are correct
• Assisting with queries from internal and external sources including employees
• Creating and maintaining accurate worker personnel files with all relevant documentation
• Communicating with external clients to ensure credit control is up to date and managing debtor process
• Liaising with payroll provider to ensure details are correct
• Answering the telephone, taking messages, accurately and passing onto the right person
• General Administrative duties

As the Payroll Administrator you will ideally:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Have a keen eye for detail and be quick to spot errors
• Ability to cope in fast moving and changing environment
• Good communication skills (both with internal and external customers)
• Pro-active approach to work
