EK Financial Recruitment are currently working with a local firm who have a presence throughout the UK with several branches. Our client are currently seeking a full-time Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team in early 2021.

As the Accounts Assistant, you will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for;

• Handling of sales and purchase ledger as well as subcontractors, inputting data on the system daily before filing
• Responsible for the maintenance of the purchase ledger
• Identify and address any supplier disputes, to minimise trading disruption to the business from suppliers suspending or withdrawing credit account facilities
• Answering query emails from suppliers
• Responsible for the opening and maintenance of supplier accounts, including periodically reviewing supplier master data records
• Handling petty cash
• Assisting with the handling of utilities and general office administrative tasks
• To perform any other reasonable task relevant to a Accounts Assistant, including, but not limited to, dealing with both internal and external financial queries, and to be involved in ad-hoc queries and/or projects

To be the successful Accounts Assistant you must have;

• Several years’ experience within an accounts team
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to meet targets and work to deadlines
• Strong, confident and good interpersonal skills
